My husband and I met in the CAP when I was 16 years old. He went to the senior prom with me and we married two years after graduation. We have been happily married for 52 years June 9th. We have three children (one son and two daughters). My son has a boy and girl. My eldest daughter has 4 boys and the baby daughter has 4 girls making us 10 grandchildren from 24yrs to 10yrs. We do enjoy all of them. After high school I worked for 4 years at Ford Motor Company Dearborn Engineering in Change Control. After my children were a little older I went back to school and got my Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology. At the age of 39 I started work at Wayne State University and worked for a Veterinary Pathologist for 23 years. My husband and I are very involved in the Boy Scouts and still camp out in a tent at campouts. All my children and most of the grandchildren are active in scouting either boy or girl scouts. Our other love is traveling and cruises. We have seen all 50 of the states, 4 provinces of Canada and 18 countries. We have made 28 cruises and are Diamond members of Royal Caribbean. We will be going to Alaska in July with a group of Scouters from our Troop. In Nov we fly to South Hampton England and take the Independence of the Seas back across the Atlantic to Ft Lauderdale. We have reservations to be on the Celebrity Solstice B2B in March 2009. Also have plans on being on the RCI Genesis that sails sometime in last part of 2009. I had tongue/tonsil cancer and 5000 rads of cobalt radiation (cancer was caused by my smoking). Still have a lot of problems but it doesn't stop me from enjoying life.
