Menda graduated from Michigan State University in 1959, and is in Sales Training. She was a former teacher, is married to Thomas and they have one daughter, Pamela, who is 19 years old. Her husband is a management consultant and Menda enjoys singing, bridge and travel. She sang with a group that was on national TV while in college, and she has recorded an album of contemporary religious music. She sings solos for weddings and other special occasions.
