Gay blade After I shave in the morning I feel much younger and sprite. When I told my wife she suggested That I begin shaving at night. HECK! My wife dislikes four-letter words So I avoid them like a hex. Some you'll never hear her use Are iron or cook, dust or sexx. Growing PAINS If medical science has come so far In the last 30 years or so Why am I feeling so much worse Than I did a few years ago? AN OLD STORY I wish my current Problems Had come fifty years ago When I was a teen-age genius And knew all there was to know. JUST WINGING IT I awake every morning To the singing of the birds. But the hummingbird just hums He must not know the words. APPOINTMENT FOR THURSDAY I had a doctors appointment And got there right on the dime. But I soon found that all I had Was a preferential waiting time. AFTER THOUGHTS I’m urbane, witty and debonair And always know just what to say.
